Elite Networking Dinner hosted by Mercedes-Benz, Singapore

It was a magnificent evening fit for an epicure and networking on the 6th of November hosted by Mercedes Benz, while the invited guests were treated to an exclusive evening indulgence with fine wine and palatable gourmet pleasures.

During the dinner, the guests were treated to two of Bordeaux’s finest wine, the 2004 Château Mouton Rothschild and the 1997 Château Haut-Brion which are complimented with a scrumptious fare. The memorable evening was showered with interesting viewpoints on wine by the invited guests and its companionship throughout their life experience.

Mr Charles Tan, Wine Director of Premium Liquid Assets, enthralled the attentive guests with both his jocular short talks and insights to the world of fine wine investment. The sharing of his valuable knowledge and experiences on achieving wine investment profitability adds further educational value on top of a fabulous evening of great wine, fine food and elegant car.

An exquisite pairing of duck liver with the 1997 Château Haut Brion was heavenly as the fine ripeness of the wine presented sweet fruit, velvety tannin that complimented the starter dish. Main Course was accompanied by the 2004 Château Mouton Rothschild which could be the most favoured wine of the night as guests were pleasured by its warm blackcurrant nose with a hint of cedar. It’s nice balance and a long spicy finish was certainly unforgettable among the guests.

The evening was also a fun filled affair with the guests served a mystery wine and asked to identify its vintage and region. Wine regions around the world produce an astounding array of unique tastes and flavours and it is a challenge to identify a glass of wine for its region and vintage by merely tasting the wine. However, a heartiest congratulations to Mr Suresh, who won a bottle of 2004 Château Mouton Rothschild courtesy of Premium Liquid Assets.

Like every fairytale, the evening needed a sweet ending that promised a smile on every individual’s face. A tempting sweet dessert wine was chosen to be paired with Pumpkin Crème Brule with Banana Popsicle. Indeed, everyone was all smiles after tasting 2002 Château Rieussec of Sauternes.
